Sony today announced the winners of its RX0 Video Challenge. Open since the end of January 2018, the competition challenged video makers across Europe to push back the boundaries of their creativity utilising the unique capabilities of the Sony RX0.
Applicants were assessed on innovation of use, creativity, execution and all videos were then appraised by a panel of leading video makers across Europe, creating a final shortlist that were all in with a chance of winning a Sony Professional Video kit worth approximately €5,000.
The winners have been selected as:
1st – Winner of α7S II + 28-135mm F/4 video lens
“Move On” - Germany
2nd – Winner of α6300 + 18-105mm F/4 lens
“Emotions” - Italy
3rd – Winner of α6300 + 18-105mm F/4 lens
“Hooray for Aura” - Belgium
4th – Winner of α6300 + 18-105mm F/4 lens
“Through her eyes” - France
5th - Winner of α6300 + 18-105mm F/4 lens
“Kitchen” - France
‘Move On’ was created by Jonas Baumgärtel from Germany and the judges felt that it was “A very artistic and creatively shot film about movement with beautiful light and unique elements” (Ludoc)and offers “Good Rhythm, Good choice of scenery” (Andreas Fernbrant).
“Throughout the entire competition, I have been really impressed by the creative thinking that has been demonstrated by the entrants,” said Yann Salmon Legagneur, Director of Product Marketing, Sony Europe. “We have seen some very high quality films and the top 5 entries could all have won.
